What TaxFast is

TaxFast is a tax filing assistance tool. We help you compute your tax liability, generate your ITR form, and submit it to the Income Tax Department of India. We are not a chartered accountancy firm, and using TaxFast does not constitute receiving professional tax advice.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide
  • You must review your return before submission — TaxFast pre-fills and suggests, but you approve
  • You are the legal filer of record; TaxFast is a tool, not your representative
  • You must be 18 years or older to use TaxFast

What we promise

  • We will compute your taxes according to current Indian tax law to the best of our ability
  • We will keep your data secure and private (see our Privacy Policy)
  • We will not charge you without clear disclosure — free means free
  • If we make a computational error that results in a penalty, we will cover the penalty amount (up to ₹25,000)

Payments

  • ITR-1 (salary-only) filing is free, no payment required
  • Complex returns (ITR-2/3/4) are charged at ₹199 per assessment year
  • Payment is processed via Razorpay. We do not store your card details
  • Refunds are available within 7 days if your return has not been submitted

Limitations

  • TaxFast is not liable for penalties arising from incorrect information you provide
  • We do not guarantee filing deadlines will be met if you start filing on the last day
  • Service availability depends on the Income Tax Department's e-filing portal being operational
  • Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service

Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend accounts that misuse the platform (e.g., automated scraping, filing fraudulent returns). We'll notify you before any suspension.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
