What we collect
- Your name and email (via Google sign-in)
- Income and tax details you provide during filing
- Documents you upload (Form 16, AIS)
- Basic usage analytics (page views, feature usage)
How we use it
- To compute your tax liability and generate your ITR
- To pre-fill your return and suggest deductions
- To send you filing confirmations and deadline reminders
- To improve the product (anonymized, aggregated analytics only)
What we don't do
- We never sell your data to third parties
- We never share your financial information with advertisers
- We never store your PAN or Aadhaar number on our servers (used transiently for e-verification only)
Data storage
Your data is stored on encrypted servers hosted on Cloudflare and Supabase infrastructure. Documents are stored in Cloudflare R2 with server-side encryption. We retain your data for 7 years (as required by Indian tax law) unless you request deletion.
Your rights
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of non-essential communications

Cookies
We use a single session cookie for authentication. We use PostHog for privacy-friendly analytics. No third-party advertising cookies are used.
Changes
We'll notify you via email if we make material changes to this policy. Continued use of TaxFast after changes constitutes acceptance.
